While renovating an old church, developer John Waring discovers a camera inside the sealed-off sacristy. Some photographs found beside the camera reveal a peculiar flaw that distorts people's eyes in photographs. As events unfold, however, John, his wife Julie and father-in-law Ed begin to see a disturbing link between the peculiar photographs and the real lives of the people in them. What is the camera trying to tell them?
Trying to answer this question, they begin researching the camera's history. Piecing together the story of Father Alan Brent, the camera's former owner, the trio uncovers ugly secrets about the people in the photographs, the priest, and even their own past. Following a trail of deceit, blackmail and murder, John and his family face the horrifying possibility that the last victim of an evil web spun fifty years ago may still be caught in it!
As they seek to heal past wounds and present fractures, John's family glimpses the real potential behind the camera's special power.
