Fill Fuller follows Full Filler . Fill Fuller is highly allusive and will have special meaning to those who have read Full Filler . For those yet to read Full Filler, here's a summary of Full to catch you up for Fill etc. Full Filler gathers 103 prize winning essays/stories/poems that establish a technical foundation and a generational tone plus backstory narrative indulgences along with the recognition of reality amidst sudden unexpected outbursts into pseudo philosophic frenzy; mashes those together with complex syncopations, over lapping characterizations and iffy punctuation....what emerges is an unforeseen story that rises above chronological plot construction. When I discovered that I had prostate cancer, I decided to describe the journey wherever it may lead. It led to the past, the present and the future in random order. It led to untapped imagination beyond the restrictions of time. It led to a confluence of life journeys both external and internal. When organized, they came to resemble a story with beginnings, middles and conclusions. Fiction and faction collide and produce autobiographical blarney. Is it a surrealistic autobiography, a novel, a collection of essays and poems that can be read in any order? Yes..Yes and yes. So that's the ketchup on Full Filler, now we'll move on to the meat of Fill Fuller. Full Filler was published in January of 2020 just before the onset of the "new normal". I continued to write my way through the pandemic. In those 30 months I composed another 103 prize winning essays published in London of all places and shared around the world by 350,000 readers. During the entirety of its composition, we addressed and continue to address the contagion of literal disease with the added figurative disease of disinformation. As we confronted and confront that two headed snake, our individual mortality has become more in focus as well as the survivability of our nation. If I had to sum up Full Filler in100 words or less here's what I would choose: Desire to survive Pursue pleasure Avoid pain Moment to Moment Playful Reflection Companionship Irony Lure of Comfort Cynicism Imagination Purposeful ReflectionChoosing a goal Tasting freedom Responsibility Pursuit of ideals and norms Romance Pursuit of fuller humanity Emergence of self Ambition Synch with reality Collision with ideals Collision with reality Fear Humor Infinite Perspective Creative Transformation ConcernPassion Absolute Commitment Suffering Divine Recognition Self annihilation I am capable of nothing With the help of the divine I am capable of all things. Guilt before the divine Paradox Affirmation Faith Willing loss of continuity. Fulfilment Fill Fuller Life etc. Fill Fuller is a continuation of Full Filler . As it coalesced, I realized that Fill Fuller could be divided into three parts with the first and third parts acting as fun house mirror reflections of each other with the middle part dealing with Covid and serving as the mirror itself. Once again it can be read in any order. The cover artwork and book design were done by Mary Ryan. It depicts the ancient paradox of two snakes devouring each other. The snakes are the same size, they have seized upon each other at the same time and are digesting at the same speed. What is the ultimate outcome? Are two heads better than none? The art also represents the current situation in the USA as we continue to devour each other in the name of a democracy in which the future is as puzzling as the riddle of the two snakes.
