Isaiah 53:1

God is in control. He knows the end from the beginning. He Himself is the Beginning and the End: cause of all things and reason of all things.
Isaiah 53 is the most amazing Bible prophecy about the person of Jesus Christ. Isaiah lived centuries before the events actually took place, but supernaturally described in detail the death of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on the cross.
My verse by verse commentary is on the Jewish Publication Society text, the official Jewish translation of this passage.
In this 2025 edition I also consider the witness of the Dead Sea Scrolls to the text of the book of Isaiah in general and to its 53rd chapter in detail.
