Fifties Favorite is a vintage inspired sewing pattern to create a dress for your favorite 18" doll. Inspired by an historical pattern, it will take your doll back in time. The bodice treatment makes this dress special. The curved yoke extends into the sleeves, giving it a distinctive 1950's feel. It can be embellished with hand or machine embroidery, or left plain. The yoke is shown trimmed with lace, but can also be embellished with rick rack or piping. A special easy technique is introduced to get those corners on the bodice sewn perfectly every time. A fun addition to the dress are the fancy patch pockets. They feature a lace-trimmed flap and can be embellished with embroidery.Depending on the fabric and trim choices, this versatile dress can be for special occasions or every day.
