Feng Shui and the Tango

Once I picked up the book I couldn't put it down. The Deamicis have written a book that is filled with info that can be easily applied to the western way of living. It is a good book to use as a reference manual and true it isn't a history of Feng Shui but it was never meant to be that. The book is an easy read, with a modern approach to Feng Shui. The Deamicis are well respected in this field and have written a great book.

The simple way to Feng Shui....

I have read Feng Shui and Tango, I have also given it as gifts to friends that are not understanding the basics about Feng Shui from books they have read. Unless it is explained thoroughly, Feng Shui can be quite confusing. I teach advanced Feng Shui, and this is one of the books I strongly recommend to my students. It is truly the first book that puts all the theory into prospective and no other book yet has made the Baqua as easy to understand. With their charming wit and humor, this is a must read. It really puts an end to the confusion...love it

Feng Shui and the Tango is one of the best reads on Feng Shui that I have seen in a long time. It clearly explains in simple and easy terms, and from a Western perspective. Presently there are too many books out there that are based on the traditional ways. While tradition is a wonderful thing, this country is one that has a history of trying to create its own "tradition," and Feng Shui and the Tango exemplifys that. It discusses the idea of using symbols and ideas that are "appropriate" for this culture. Too many practitioners will utilize symbols that are part of the "tradition" of Feng Shui, but those symbols have no meaning to "our" culture. It discusses the Bagua in understandable terms and also discusses issues that many books do not, such as electromagnetics and indoor plumbing. These are two topics that traditional feng Shui never had to contend with. Over all this book is very comprehensive and Ralph & Lahni have a wonderful understanding of how Feng Shui can work best for us.
