This is a collection of three short stories in which each protagonist finds themselves at a crossroads of sorts. In no particular order, they represent large demographics in post-apartheid South Africa where identities are starting to be disassembled and examined by those who hold them and those around them. In another short story, a young, black woman questions the culture and customs that formed her, but she finds that things are not always black and white, and that, at times, both sides of an argument can be wrong, or right. The darkest of all three tackles the complexity of the idea of a life's purpose and what happens when it seems to elude one.
