Saying goodbye to loved ones is never easy, we never got to have a memorial service because of the pandemic. I wanted to write something that captured Velma for who she was and what she meant to not just me but everyone she met. This is my way to memorialize her and her life for not just myself but our family as well. This memoir captures many stories and memories passed down and shared with Velma throughout my life. Showing the world how amazing she truly was is my way of grieving a loved but also a way to pass down the memory of someone that has made such an impact on so many people.
