This book tells the stories of people sitting in my psychotherapy office and in my courses' classrooms for highly sensitive people. It also speaks about sensitivity as a gift and a talent to be developed, as a specific trait in human evolution.
This book also tells my story-the story of a highly sensitive child who was overlooked, how I later became a highly sensitive therapist, and how, in everybody lives, there are "highly sensitive moments" that push us out of our comfort zone, make us vulnerable, but also connect us with our deepest and most unknown resources. That is why, for me, being a highly sensitive person means having a superpower-one that, like all great gifts, comes with great responsibility and the need for great care.
