A Good Guide for Meaningful Discussions

We are currently using this discussion guide for a small women's study group, and we have found this book to be a useful addition to the Fearless DVD and book. It has prompted us to dig deeper into the topics raised in the Fearless book. It offers a very good outline for meaningful and thoughtful interaction. I highly recommend this guide for any group discussion. By the way, it is best used in conjunction with the main book, not in lieu of it.

Inspires me to change

To be honest, I first imagined that this book would be like just another self-help book when we need today are books about how we can show God's love to the world. However, upon making my way through this book, my initial response just proved the old adage that you can't judge a book by its cover (or in my case, by its title!). As I began reading, I realised how much I wanted to be a person of faith and not fear. By taking the reader through many of the most common fears that a believer faces, the message that Lucado constantly reiterates is that you are special, and we can be people of courage. Lucado displays a profound knowledge of the subject and provides real-life stories to illustrate his points. More importantly however, he provides examples from the life of Jesus to show that we truly need not fear as we travel on the journey with Him. Following the main text with a Discussion Guide that is useful for both individuals and groups, this is a book that has the potential to change the lives of many.
