Donald the Knight is an African American male in elementary school. Like millions of children his age, he is attempting to navigate his environment while staying true to his Christian beliefs. His superpower is his ability to represent Christ through his daily lifestyle at an age where many of his peers are embarrassed or too afraid. The theme of being a Knight refers to the concept of living with honor and integrity when it is not the popular thing to do. "Fearfully and Wonderfully Made!" is the title of the first book from our 3-part series. Donald is being bullied at school during recess by some of his peers for being slim and physically underdeveloped. Once home from school, his mother reminds him that he is made in the image of God and that he must find his identity in that reality. (Psalms 139)
