Best FBI History Written Yet

This book was written before I became an FBI agent and I read it years later, after retirement. So much of what the author relates is true today as it was then in the turbulent sixties. The writing style is masterful. So many anecdotes of FBI lore are fully explained. The research is vast,thorough and compelling. He tells the full stories of even past Acting Directors of whom little is written or known. Any student of law enforcement should read this book as well as every present federal agent.It is true American history written at the best.
