The beginning of Abraham's story is a bold adventure of faith. God calls him to leave everything that he knows, and leave for a destination as yet unknown. As we read through Abraham's story, we are invited to think about God's call in our lives, our response of faith, God's covenant and how we live this out. Each week this guide pays attention to a part of this story, but also in personal daily reading encourages us to explore some of the same themes in other parts of the scriptures. As we read and digest the scriptures God is able to encourage us in our own faith, and in our pursuit of the various journeys that He calls each of us on. It's possible to use this guide simply for your own bible reading and quiet times throughout this series on Abraham. It's much more effective if we you come together as part of a group to share together and to encourage one another along the way. If you don't already belong to a group that meets regularly to encourage one another in faith - to have people alongside you for the journey - perhaps you might invite a few other people to join use, and use this guide to structure your discussion.
