This is an anthology of poems written by Dester Lee Ward wherein he gives his readers much to reflect on and food for thought. Each poem reflects something different as he shares his many interests, his faith, life's lessons, observations, and love for his family and for life in general. Dester was born on February 8, 1912, in the small rural town of Whitesville, Kentucky. He was married to his beloved wife, Catherine, for 51 years. He had thirteen children. His ninth child, Harriet Ward Thomas, compiled these, her Dad's poems, for this book to honor him and in remembrance of him. Her Dad started writing at the age of twelve for self-enjoyment and entertainment in his rural Kentucky home. He was awarded the "Golden Poet Award" in 1987 from the World of Poetry's Board of Directors in Las Vegas for his poem, "Father's Arms."
