FATAL SUCCESSION is a political thriller that begins with a conspiracy to assassinate the President of the United States of America. The attack took place on the second day of the President's vacation, leaving him missing and proclaimed dead by the media. The Vice President, Speaker of the House and the Secretary of State all become victims of the conspiracy following the attack on the President. The remaining members of the cabinet in the line of succession were either too young, not citizens of the United States by birth or otherwise not capable of ascending to the highest office of the land. With this tragedy at hand, the present administration collapsed and a new acting President was appointed. The task of unveiling the truth behind the conspiracy to overthrow the nation was left to Sam Pierce, a White House advisor and a close personal friend of the President.
