When corporate lawyer Sophie Ward flew out of Sydney to commence her annual leave which would mostly be spent in France and inaugurating in Paris with a three day stop-over in Singapore, she had no idea of the adventurous and sometimes dangerous circumstances that would be bestowed to her. The first frightening incident eventuated in Singapore where her young guide, Ganesh, she commissioned, was attacked by an angry Macaque monkey. On the TVG train from Paris to Avignon she witnessed the assassination of popular politician Philippe Lapointe, Minister for the Interior who was an outspoken critic of the enormous problem of crime and corruption in France. He was particularly passionate of stopping the illegal sales of counterfeit French designer luxury goods that helped fund terrorist organizations as well as impacting the income of French industries. Sophie's life was then under threat as she was the only credible witness to have survived the train attack. She would later be the subject of her own assassination attempts which involved the original assassin that continued to hunt her down. The book presents a thrilling read which explores the great cities of the world. It contains humour, romance and history all in one package.
