In this work we present the aspects and collateral effects of fast fashion, such as the impact it has on the environment, especially on aquatic ecosystems and working conditions, especially in countries with emerging economies such as Latin American countries; in recent years this implementation of fast fashion has been growing and even displacing local companies in the textile and fashion industry. It is also analyzed and proposals are given on the counterbalance part such as slow fashion or slow fashion and textile sustainability, to which social movements and non-governmental organizations and recently companies dedicated to fast fashion have bet on, in favor of environmental health in Latin American countries.
