Grunge is unfairly maligned, and I believe this proves it

I LOVED the whole grunge,"heroin chic" movement-NOT for its drug connotations, but because FINALLY the spackled-on make-up,the foo foo clothes, the ridiculous glamour lighting,it all ceased. Here you've got a rare, gorgeous pic of Stella Tennant WITH her nose ring(she looked SO much better with it!),by Paolo Roversi no less. You've got a vaguely punkish Rosemary Ferguson,by Corrine Day.Other major photographers are also represented-Juergen Teller,Craig McDean,Mario Sorrenti(Rachel Williams with raccoon eyes,a belly-button ring...and little else;)....the list is endless, really. This is a really COOL book,it is the very DEFINITION of cool. And it may change your mind about grunge!

This is a book of educible, suductive images! A must have!

This is a book to which people react! Blurring the lines between fashion photography, "Art" photography, sex, and gender, this book is an articulate and provocative essay on the scarcely delinated state of beauty, style, and sexuality; art, commercialism, and culture.I highly recommend it.
