Growing up on a small farm in Northern Michigan during the 1950's left the author with some fond memories and a few callouses on his hands and on his behind. This book is a collection of these memories along with a few poems that also recall the good times and the hard work of growing up on a farm.Life on the farm was one of self-sufficiency, as well as a need to rely on others. The author uses vivid descriptions and humor to give the reader a sense of what it was like living close to God and close to the soil.
