Farida, the second daughter among six, is her father's favorite. Her tremendous beauty is enhanced by the livid streak of empathy and magnanimity. Being born in a conventional family located in the cold hills of Kathmandu, her parents who are overwhelmed by the thought that birth of a son brings honour to family, neglect their daughter's need for education and empowerment, marry her off at an early age.
