Poi la casa sorgeva fuori di Milano, oltre il da zio di Porta Ticinese, in una zona occupata quasi interamente da vasti magazzini di formaggio e di burro, e da depositi di legname; quartiere di popolo e di lavoratori, di operai e di gente arrie chita, quartiere classicamente milanese per l'at tivit , il frastuono, l'uso d'un dialetto pi aper to e pi tipico.

Lorenzo Moro aveva appunto in quel quartiere i suoi magazzini e lo studio, e non desiderava aver vi anche la casa; ci avrebbe mutato le abitudini della sua vita operosa, togliendogli la ragione del le lunghe passeggiate tra casa e studio, ch'egli faceva la mattina ed il pomeriggio fin che abi tava in via Bigli.
