The Waterfront Writers has been one of Plymouth's best known writing groups for over twenty years. Always a hit at Open Mic Nights, the group prides itself on its reputation for friendliness and approachability almost as much as for its quality of poetry. Waterfront has regularly been featured in the local press.
This is the last anthology of poetry from the group. Each member was asked to select up to seven of their poems, old or new, on any theme. Thus, here we have a mixed bag of forms and genres reflecting the members' personal choices of poetic styles and interests, ranging from humour (always present at the group's meetings), to historical, to love and loss, to local interest.
All the members share a passion for poetry; many are published poets.
