Far From the Tree is the story of Jane Macharia, a mother of two boys from Kenya, and events that subsequently led them to relocate to Texas. Jane and her two sons escape death narrowly after a fire ravages their home. Now her husband is gone and she struggles to come to grips with reality of being jobless and penniless. Will she pack her bags and go back to her native land? Or will her faith remain strong when the going gets tough?
