Young ones are often impulsive by nature. It is not as same as ambition. There is often confusion between the two. There is nothing wrong with both impulsive behaviour and ambition. If an individual especially a young person without preparation attempts a certain task he or she has to make distinction between the two. The outcome is based on how one handles his / her impulsive behaviour separate from the ambition that underlie the intended task. An ambition needs the sustained effort for successful outcome in spite of many failures. It is like Hillary and Tennyson attempting to climb the Himalaya, the Mount Everest. They succeeded after several attempts. The impulsive behavior is different. If given an opportunity one takes a stride without much preparation. Just like in gambling. One gets hooked to gambling, just by impulsive behavior. Ambitions can be high, say to become an air pilot. Impulse can be uncontrollable.
