As if being a teenager doesn't suck enough.Erin has been bitten by a vampire, twice. As she starts slipping into the dark side, horrible things start happening, like pizza doesn't taste good anymore. Worse, she gets outed as a vampire during a dodge ball game at school. Her friends and family learn one more bite will turn her Undead forever, so they arm themselves with stakes and garlic to protect her from the vampires that want to turn her into a coffin sleeper forever."I loved this book, fangs and all," New York Times best-selling author James Rollins."Fantastically funny," BookLoons"This book sucks, in a most delightful way," Shane Gericke, national best-selling author.FANG FACE made me laugh, and I'm not a Teen. Or perhaps I am, but I'm trapped in a grown-up's body," Raymond Benson, best-selling author."...genuinely funny," Tallesin - The Vampire's Lair.Five Starred by Amazon top reviewer Harriet Klausner.
A simple story presented in an amazing way. Erin represents a Teenage girl going through an Extraordinary change. I liked the way the author has put forth the idea in a teenager's perspective so naturally. The way Erin's friends and Parents react to the situation made me laugh at times. Though I had problem with the writing style, the plot and the presentation is kinda good.
This is an amusing teen vampire tale

Her biggest issues had been math and acne until the bite. Now Erin's most pressing problem is how to explain to her parents that just because she is a vampire, she does not want to sleep in a coffin especially a coke bottle shaped coffin. She admits to herself the benefits of healthy undead living include perfect skin, flying like a bird, scaring the crap out of her obnoxious younger sister Alex who had voted for cremation as the resolution to the family problem of having one of them being of a different blood type, and going out at night knowing you are safe. Ironically her Undead complexion apparently is in as everyone says she never looked better; perhaps not eating pizza helps. The girls at school are jealous of Fang Face as they call her because the boys want to exchange hickeys with her. Erin's deepest regret is now that she is a porcelain Goth beauty she cannot see how she looks as she has no reflection. This is an amusing teen vampire tale that will remind readers more of the movie My Best Friend Is a Vampire than Twilight as Norm Cowie provides a tongue in cheek behind the overbite family drama. With a lighthearted jocularity and a somewhat anemic story line, Erin, her family, friends and fans learn the advantages and disadvantages of being a blood sucker while answering the most critical Undead question of all - can vampires cry? Good Read !

The other day, I finished reading Norm Cowie's third book - FANG FACE. It is marketed to 'young adults', but I thought it was a fun ride! Even if I am ... 'more mature' than the target audience. It was a nice twist on an old story. Vampires have been around forever and the list of stories, movies, etc., is endless. (I wonder what specifically is the attraction..?) It was great to see 'vampirism' from a different view. Okay, a funny view. I wonder how MY parents would have handled one of their kids becoming a vampire. Probably not as well as the parents in the book! (well, depending on which kid! lol) Going by the very last line in the book, I am sensing a sequel. I am also hoping that Mr. Cowie has started on it already so that I won't have to wait too long... Keep em coming, Norm!
