Daniel Campton is a member of an extended family many of whose members compete in show jumping competitions at the highest level. Daniel no longer rides competitively, but his mother, sister and step-sister are all on the short list for the U.S. Olympic Team. As the competition among them heats up, one of the best horses on the circuit is stolen and the barn manager is found dead. Some of the family members are immediately suspect. Daniel finds himself playing amateur detective over the next several months in an effort to find out what happened to the missing horse and who was responsible for the murder.
