If You're a Skipper Who Likes to Take a Female Crew Member Along...
Published by Sea Bear , 5 years ago
Two BFF women, whose husbands loved to sail the coast of New England, wrote this - ostensibly for the First Mate (i.e., the Woman) to learn from, but actually for the Man of the Boat. Such things as, realizing that a woman who feels cold (which women generally do on a sailboat in the ocean) is an unhappy woman. So leave fleece pants and tops on board all the time, so it's there when needed. Also, being considerate when there are long waits - for repairs, for fog, for whatever - and suggest that it's imperative that the crew go into town and buy attractive sweaters to ward off the damp. Much else, most of which we sailors of the male persuasion are utterly oblivious to.
