Maureen Garrett grew up the eldest of nine siblings. Her Mother, like all in our his-story played her role in a time before feminism. By the 1960s, however, Maureen came upon new choices in a rapidly changing world. Family Love bridges this major change in culture moving from the world of tradition and history, to a reality as multidimensional human beings, led by the spirit and vision of the world we all help co-create. To see Family Love in the larger context of social and cultural change between the 1960s, when women's voices were just beginning to be heard, and the 1990s, is exhausting. Family Love, written in the early 1990s, depicts Maureen's journey of personal understanding, growth and metamorphosis within her family of origin.
