The main purpose of this text is the approach to family counseling, through theoretical contributions for the development of the helping relationship in the university environment, considering as main actors the professor-counselor and the student as the subject of counseling.It should be noted that the focal theoretical aspects of the book are the following: a) person-centered counseling, b) the university as a counseling environment, c) the professor-counselor, d) the student as a subject of counseling and e) the helping relationship, which subsequently allowed providing the corpus of the theorization generated as a product of the research process.
