In Falling, Christopher Pike explores the depth and breadth of human emotion through two brilliantly etched characters: Kelly Feinman, who pays a terrible price to understand the nature of true evil;... This description may be from another edition of this product.
Pike writes for the young adult market, or rather, has, for years, so you may not have picked up anything by him before. "Falling" is simply, flat-out, wonderful. I read lots of mysteries. It's hard to surprise me, hard to see a twist in the plot that I haven't already guessed at long before it arrives. "Falling" manages not one, but many twists, all of them shocking, yet all logical. And here's another bonus: the characters are interesting! Even if the writer can come up with new variations in his book, usually the characters are dull. This is one book that has both a fast moving and intricate plot, and characters that are believable and intriguing from the first page to the last.
The Falling

It's the best from Christopher Pike so far. I just love the way the story was written. You can sense parts of Pike in the book, as well as, it gives you an in-depth look at how he has matured from the previous young adult books. You simply must get this book for your collection and I guarantee you that it's worth the time to read it.
You can relate to the characters

Having grown up with Christopher Pike books and having read them all, I was once again amazed by his writing. This book can not be put down, it can not be read chapter by chapter. I devoured the book as quickly as I could. The book and its characters evoked emotions such emotions: I cried with the betrayl, I felt the revenge and anger. I've already recommended this book to everyone I know. I wish there were more Pike books to tide me over, and I have no idea when he'll come out with another. This was better than any other crime thriller I've read in years, and I'd love to see this become a movie. The "Acid Man" was a great idea for a serial killer, and even greater to see portrayed in a movie. Exactly as the reviews said, "Literary Crack Cocaine."
Ridiculously Enjoyable, His Best Book Yet

I have read almost every single book Christopher Pike has put written. My first was The Last Vampire, and it was by far my favorite of all his books up until Falling. He's a brilliant author. In typical Pike fashion, he manages to keep you HOOKED until the very end. I have found, and I'm sure many people will agree, that once you start reading, you wish you could just read it straight through. Falling is a very nice sized book, and I actually found myself thinking about the book and trying to "figure things out" before I would read a few more chapters each night. Pike has an amazing ability to to keep you guessing, and in the end, you're always wrong. His twists are what I love in his novels, but second to that is his creativity in describing the lives, minds, and feelings of each his characters. If you've read any of his books, you can expect the usual.. you will fall in love with everyone in the book, and be heartbroken when you finish, but only because there will be no more to read. Buy this book. Read it. Love it. Christopher Pike has been my favorite author for almost a decade, and I hope he continues to release books as quickly as he can dish them out.
Sensational

I was weary of reading this book at first because it wasnt considered Pike's usual Horror genre.Of course I still had to read it,as anything by Christopher Pike is worthy. I dont want to spoil this book for anyone who wants to read it,so I'm not going to give away the plot. Only to say that as soon as you begin this book,it is immeaditely interesting and hooks the reader. We learn about Matt Conner and how he plans to fake his own death because his girlfriend has broken his heart. There is also FBI agent Kelly Fienman who is tracking the strange serial killer named The "Acid Man". This book brought about many emotions from myself that shocked me.I got very angry with one of the characters and I even cried a little at the end. Mostly though because the book was over. This book is exactly what is says on the cover~Literary crack cocaine! I recommend this book to all Christopher Pike fans and anyone who just wants a great read!
