Fall To Grace

If you like war stories, history or human interest stories you will love this book. I couldn't put it down. Knowing this was a true story made it even more compelling. It opened my eyes to what really went on in Vietnam and also gave me a new perspective on how one's soul knows all the answers-if you just know how to listen to it.I brought this book with me on a vacation cruise-and just read the whole book until I was done...and I have never done that before.

Naive, Honest Account of Awakening in Vietnam

Though this book will probably never be considered fine literature due to its guileless style, Eric's account of the events that transpired before and during his time in Vietnam during the war -- where he went at the age of 18 -- is so honestly written that I was compelled to read every last word in just a few days. With its naive style, this book is one person's honest account of real life experiences. Eric's way of conveying his story lend credence to the sometimes nearly unbelievable situations he describes. His account of the events he witnessed brought the reality of the Vietnam war into focus for me. While reading this book I felt a profound empathy for the Vietnamese peasants and a visceral connection to the events and Eric's spiritual awakening.

Truth is stranger (and much better than) fiction

A friend gave me a copy of Fall to Grace about a year ago, and I remember thinking "catchy title." But in the days that followed I was spellbound by this fascinating true story by Eric Karlson, so much so that when I was finished I went to my local bookstore and bought four more copies to give to friends. I'm sure that many eyes have read those copies. For those of you who seek a deeper understanding of the Vietnam War from a completely unique point of view, this book is a must. For those of you who seek a deeper understanding of the path(s) to enlightenment, this book is a must. Kudos to the author.

Far from your usual Vietnam story - Riviting

A gripping tale of self realization. Eric Karlson has weaved a dynamic web that captures the reader and refuses to let you go. He tells his life with such color and detail that one forgets that it is non-fiction. If you enjoy books that change your world perception than you have to pick this one up.

This book had me so sucked in that I stayed up all night!

Fall to Grace will allow you to temporarily step into the mind of a US soldier in Vietnam. This book reveals the humanity of the Vietnam War from all sides. Eric Karlson gives us hope that even in the worst of times, your spirit can rise above and guide you on your path if you follow your heart. I would reccomend this book to any compassionate person with an interest in the Vietnam War, and/or anyone in search of their own spiritual path.
