It's so true that as a believer you have to have faith for it is the only thing a human being can do to please God. Yes, it is that important Have you ever seen waves being made in water? They are big, powerful and can cause the things around them to change. Waves are created when energy passes through water - maybe you've been to the beach and played in the sea or jumped in a puddle and created a wave? You can be the one that creates the energy to make waves in the world too through your faith in Jesus

I love that feeling of catching a wave while I'm standing in the water, where you're not quite sure...until you're out in front of it...if you've caught the wave or if the wave's caught you. I love the feeling of diving under waves and feeling their power just breaking over me. There's something about that that just stirs the human soul. It's really fascinating if you were to look at it objectively. That a wave is a collection of little drops, or molecules, of water. If you were to isolate one of those molecules of water, you wouldn't be able to see it with the naked eye. And yet, you have a wave that forms. In one cubic meter, you have one ton of water moving towards you In a wave that's about twenty feet long and roughly ten feet high, you have 410 tons of water....loving towards you Which is roughly 315 Volkswagen Bugs. That's a lot of water, is it not? It's impressive. It's interesting though, one molecule you could never even see, but a ton of them put together creates a mass, creates a movement, creates something you want to get out of the way of. If you were to do the scientific analysis of what creates a wave, there's only three things. One is its wind that blows along the surface of the ocean, sometimes hundreds of miles away from where the wave actually breaks. It's the tides, the gravitational pull of the moon tugging at the water on the surface of the earth.
I think all of us, whether we follow the way of Jesus or not, have this longing to be part of a wave. A force that changes our world around us. We know somewhere deep down inside that our lives were not meant to just be one little isolated molecule that you can't see with the naked eye. But that we were designed to be a part of something bigger.
