In the Old Testament, we read about the two-way conversations God's followers had with Him.
In the New Testament, writers detailed their face-to-face encounters with Jesus as He built
relationships with them.

John 14:15 -16 tells us that after Jesus dies and ascended to heaven, He sent the Holy Spirit to
earth to be our Comforter and Helper. The Holy Spirit was sent because Jesus wanted our
relationship and dialogue to continue with Him after he physically left the world.

In Faith Story, Kristie Lynn Wilson shares the conversations she had with Jesus during a time of
deep crisis in her life. She does this for two reasons: to stir the hearts of readers to start a
personal relationship with Him and to encourage other Christians to share their faith stories.

Jesus wants to have conversations with you. If you haven't invited Him into your life, you can
start that relationship by asking Him for forgiveness of all your sins. As you talk to Jesus, give
Him time to respond. Listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying to you. Sometimes He places
thoughts in our minds that we would not come up with on our own. Write down what He speaks
to you. Later, as you read what you've written, you will see Jesus more clearly.
