Fairy Tales to Raise Smart Children: Modern Tales

Fairy Tales to Raise Smart Children - Modern Tales is a storybook that tries to help parents when their relationship with their children becomes more intimate: bedtime. Today's hectic life leads some to neglect this fundamental and vital aspect of education and growth. Children, even very young ones, are often left in front of the television and, only after they have fallen asleep, taken to bed. But it is curiosity that stimulates intelligence. Television and radio, and video games have a passive function only. They cannot answer your questions. Children need to ask questions, to ask the meaning of words they do not know, and to elaborate on a story together with an adult who calms them and makes them reflect on life. Little ones fall asleep only thanks to the relaxing sound of a familiar voice reading, without being able to follow and comprehend the story in its entirety. Precisely for this reason, bedtime stories become an appreciated moment for them that they seek every evening. You will realize that they will often want to hear the same fairy tale in a habitual way, always catching different shades of meaning. This book is structured in two levels so it can also meet the needs of older children. To activate their imagination, in the prefaces, a story is told about fairy-tale characters reading the stories contained in this book. The advice that I would give to the parents of older children is to skip the prefaces and directly read the fairy tales. In the book, sometimes complex and uncommon words are used. They serve to foster the acquisition of language, exploiting the natural curiosity that children have in the various phases of their growth. Unlike we adults, in fact, they can immediately memorize a word just by hearing and can turn it into active knowledge. The various fairy tales in this book are also represented by images to stimulate attention. We have chosen to use them with different forms and expressions to increase children's interest. All the stories you will encounter in the book are set in imaginary times and places, with the aim of creating the magic that attracts curiosity. At the same time, they subliminally address the themes and problems of our time, hence the name of the book. Complaints/Suggestions: annsepolveda@gmail.com Once upon a time, a wise old man in a village said: "Many people were hit in the head by an apple falling from a tree, but only Newton wondered why and then discovered the law of gravity Do you know why?" I answered: "Of course, that's simple Because he was smarter than everyone else " "No " the old man replied with a smile. "He was just more curious "
