It is a world different from ours. Magic and sorcery exist, as do demons, vampires, werewolves and many other monsters. Men and women came together a thousand years ago in a time of evil. A necromancer had raised an army of demons, and of the dead to destroy and conquer the world. In a battle that last for three days, the necromancer and his army were destroyed.

The world did not go back to normal as they had hoped. The demons and other foul creatures raised by the necromancer were now free to roam the land killing and destroying. Many of the men and women who had fought the necromancer came together again and formed the guardians, to protect the people and to destroy the demons. This this the world of Fain. An orphan brought up by the guardians and trained as a warrior. But he has become more than that, he has become the most famous demon hunter in the hhistory of the guardians. He is equaly feared and respected by the people he fights to protect, and equally feared and hated by the creatures he hunts.
