In the wide arena of words―failure and success are not accidents as we suppose but strict justice of nature. If you do your work sincerely you are certain to get rewarded. A person who has not seen his or her work fail over the years is myopic, peripatetic, or simply very young.Hence understanding the reasons for failure enable clinician in diagnosing them and also in preventing them during treatment.Repair is a viable alternative to replacement, and it can increase significantly the lifetime of restorations. As observed in the literature reviewed, a long survival rate for restorations can be expected provided that patient, operator and material factors are taken into account when the restorations are performed. When repair actions are contemplated, the least minimally invasive and most cost-effective method has to be practiced. Some minor defects around margins such as minor discoloration or ditching may not result in impaired function, and thus such failures could be only monitored instead of repair or replacement.
