This book supplies the necessary information, along with inspiration, for the successful writing, delivering, and storing of your parting letter. And if your loved one has already left this earth without leaving you a parting letter, there is a chapter on creating a heritage journal to beautifully store your favorite photographs and paper memories.

The idea for this book was inspired by my father, who passed away unexpectedly in November 2019. I started this book shortly after he passed, with the hope that it would help others find comfort in a way that is still available to them - which is no longer available to me. I've kept everything short and to the point so that you can quickly implement this idea into your life.

First Chapter Snippet:

We all have moments in life that become dividing lines. Days when something so monumental happens, we know life will never be the same. That day for me was November 26 at 9:26 A.M. The moment was the death of my father. One can never truly be prepared for the loss of a loved one.

My mind raced with a million thoughts, and I could feel myself almost instantly slipping into a deep, dark depression. I was fearful the depression would overtake me and consume my life. I needed to hear my Dad's voice. At the darkest point in my life he was not there to advise me, guide me, or comfort me. I needed to know what he would say to me.

What words would he use to fill the Daddy-shaped hole in the middle of my heart?

As I pondered this question, it brought another question to mind: Why is it not common practice to leave a letter for a loved one to be read after death? We spend our days proclaiming love through words and actions to those dear to us. And yet, we depart this world with words unspoken.

Can you imagine the sweet sorrow of receiving a letter written directly to you from your recently departed father, mother, spouse, sibling, or best friend? Instead of wondering what they would say to comfort you and console you, you would have it in writing - in their writing.
