Years ago, a bright blue circle opened on the horizon. Through it came an advanced race known as the Fade. Even on an Earth where children with fantastic powers are born every day, the Fade were too much for them. Fearing that the human race was doomed, one man devised a plan to save as many as possible by moving them off-world, to an alternate Earth. The plan would have worked beautifully if the Fade had not found out. Only three children made it through that day. And it took fifteen years for the Fade to find them. Cynthia now has a drug habit that's creeping toward addiction. She's the first to be taken. Angela is beautiful and popular, and she won't be happy until everyone else thinks so too.
