Factors associated with the use of non-reusable products

The human right to menstrual hygiene remains problematic today, as it is still a taboo subject in society. Many women and girls face social and economic problems regarding the use of menstrual products. In Madagascar, women use inadequate and precarious menstrual products such as fabrics from used clothes or sanitary napkins used for more than 4 hours, sometimes they only change them after a day. We are therefore led to wonder about the factors associated with the use of non-reusable menstrual products in Madagascar? The general objective of this study is to contribute to a better understanding of the factors associated with the use of non-reusable products during menstruation in Madagascar. To carry out this study, we used data from the MICS 6 survey (2018). Twelve variables are used: region, place of residence, religion, the woman's level of education, her exposure to the media, household standard of living, age, marital status, social or school activities carried out during menstruation, etc.
