Factors Affecting Delays of Cost Overrun in Building Construction

The construction housing project is most likely to have the construction time delay and the construction time delay is the biggest problem for the construction industries. Most projects have delays due to the same reasons, such as shortage of the materials, shortage of the labor, poor supervising and many more. As indicated by this investigation, the customer related elements are the significant elements responsible for the postponement of the development venture. The customer related postponements are poor correspondence and cooperation, delay in advance of installments, late in modifying, suspension of work by proprietor, gradualness in basic leadership process and change arranges by proprietors amid the development. These factors mostly contribute to the postponement in the building venture and delivery of building projects thus not respecting the set deadline. In this work, the real reasons for the development deferrals are investigated and the final results are studied by fuzzy method according to the replies of the respondents (site engineer, supervisor, project manager, academic person).
