Eyes, Stop Loving Today: Poetic Disjunctions

In this day and age, when we look at others through "Eyes of Technology", where is Love and Romance that we seem to have almost done away with? West or the East, should we think of everything as "automatic"? The popular 1970s' US music group, Boney M, brought out an album titled, "Love for Sale" a comment on times as they were developing. One of the most famous and creative bands of the 20th century, The Beatles, who took the UK, the US and Europe by storm, and even made an impact on India, still live on in our hearts, with lyrics like 'Can't Buy Me Love', 'When I'm Sixty-Four' and 'She's Leaving Home' ("What did we do that was wrong? We gave her everything money could buy..."). In the 2020s, popular singer Rod Stewart's 'Stop Loving Her Today' still rings in strange, soft words that clash with the sensibility developing. This is a book about these "poetic disjunctions" between the felt reality of today's world, and what seems, very much, "Yesterday."
