Time travel to save the day!

This short novella makes for an excellent audiobook to listen to! You have one narrator, Marian Hussey, but she makes each of the three view points of Julia, Mark, and John sound very distinct and I never had any trouble telling who was talking. And that was great because I was sucked into the story of a mix of police detective noir and science fiction in this save the world from ending through a last ditch at time travel to fix the problems brought on by greedy criminals looking for a way to get get rich quick and not caring about consequences. And those consequences are quite freaky! Starting with a murder of the same man twice, and a shooter with uncanny aim killing others and throw in the awesome Julia, ex cop with connections and a willingness to break the rules to crack the case, newbie Mark, dragged along accidently and in for quite the adventure, and John who tries his best to keep things level and pulling Mark and Julia out of hot water whenever he can and it is an awesome audiobook! I am glad I got the chance to listen to it and many thanks go to NetGalley and the publisher for the chance to do so.
