Synopsis:
Josh Martin, a seasoned SF (Special Forces) Commander and owner of AATC (Advance Action Training Center) is directed to report to SF Headquarters in D. C. where a meeting of senior Government, Military, and high-ranking civilians are discussing an emergency assignment. The meeting starts with the introduction of Dr. Hong Den the former head of the North Korean Biological Warfare Center, who recently defected to South Korea. He defected because, by accident, his lab had produced an extremely transmissible virus that was always fatal. The country had recently undergone a coup and a radical new President had taken command of the country. He is a fanatic who decides to unleash the virus by a supersonic missile over San Fransico. The prevailing west winds would carry the virus across the United State and then, as COVID-19 did, spread it Worldwide. It would eliminate at least 95% of the human population on the planet within 30 days. However, the virus must replicate itself by infecting a person every 48 hours to survive. He is Hitler-like in believing the Korean race is the only pure strain of humanity worth saving, and he is stocking a salt mine cavern to save 5000 select North Koreans, who would occupy the salt cavern for 30 days while the virus killed 95% of the human life on the planet.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff want to carpet bomb North Korea with hydrogen nuclear bombs to try and destroy the secret lab, the salt cavern, and the government's leadership, but by doing so it would start World War III. As a last resort, they have given Special Forces 30 days to find and destroy the lab and to eliminate the leadership of the country.
Commander Jousha (Josh) Martin is picked to infiltrate into North Korea with a 5-person team to locate and either destroy the bio-lab and country leadership or to direct precise targeting of the lab and individuals. The team is dropped into the South China Sea via a high-altitude parachute deployment, but the midnight aerial drop into the South China Sea is spotted and comes under attack. However, they manage to deflect the attack and manage to infiltrate into North Korea and into an underground complex where they receive orders on how to conduct the operation. They find out HQ wants them to delay the direct attack on the lab and senior officials by first introducing COVID-19 into the salt mine where preparations are being made to house the select five thousand North Koreans. Then a second delaying has them attacking the warehouses where provisions are stored to sustain the select North Koreans. Finally, HQ, in a daring switch of briefcases, which will let the Commanding North Korean General carry the switched briefcase into the underground biological lab where the virus is produced. The briefcase is carrying explosives, which destroys the lab and all the equipment inside. However, even though the underground lab is destroyed, new intelligence sources indicated the lab has already produced enough of the deadly virus to attack, and preparations are continuing to launch the intercontinental missile.
The bomb will cause a dam failure and release the lake water, which will flood the area below the dam, where the salt cavern is located. A finale meeting will be taking place with the complete missile team as well as the countries leadership.
After a grueling upriver and cross-country trek, where only Josh and Diane survive, they arrive at the dam.
