The Wonder of Nature

The coastal widerness of Prince William Sound is a land of vivid contrast - rainforests, border glaciers, lofty peaks, soaring bald eagles, spounting whales. As varied as the land are the people who haved lived there - Eskimos, Indians, Russian traders, wild-eyed miners, fur traders, fishermen, and oil developers, as well as loggers all share in the colorful history of the sound. The book is illustrated with dozens of maps, sketches, ad photographs. Many people were interviewed for this book inculding Pete Isleib, Maria Adkins, Ted Chad, Martin Goreson, Ketch Ketchum, and Ted West, and many others. It's an enchanting work about an enchanting part of the world.
