explore the ethics of environment

Human activities are the main cause of environmental degradation. Since we all have to eat and have a place to sleep, the increased demand on resources is also a source of the problem. There is a cost to the ecosystem when these items are so highly sought after and in demand. Resources are being depleted and the environment is being destroyed as a direct result of technological progress.
Multiple environmental problems have wreaked havoc on the planet and its inhabitants. These negative impacts will severely limit human life if we do nothing about it now.
Pollution, overpopulation, industrial and household waste, acid rain, climate change, ozone layer depletion, urban sprawl, genetic engineering, deforestation, and global warming are serious environmental concerns. Human health, sea level rise, depletion of non-renewable resources, melting glaciers, species extinction, polluted landfills, toxic dust, declining soil fertility, increased air and water pollution, and a host of other problems are just some of the disastrous results of environmental degradation.
The human race has long held the mantle of the most intelligent animal species on Earth. One possible explanation for this is that it is the only species on Earth that has become significantly civilized over the years. Although modern humans may feel superior to all other creatures, their superior brain is useless if environmental ethics are ignored.
Many humans cut down trees for their own benefit, without thinking of the creatures that depend on them for survival. Human actions are responsible for a series of environmental problems, including the disordered use of fossil fuels, industrialization, pollution and the alteration of the natural balance.
The fact that we have access to so many natural resources does not give us carte blanche to use them while leaving nothing for future generations to enjoy.
