The world is currently far from peace. Conflicts are blocking cooperation within the framework of international agreements and promoting the formation of new camps. An international policy aimed at peace must be oriented towards norms and values and what is possible. Dilemmas arise and should be communicated transparently so that politics remains credible.Within the framework of the competencies of political education/training, an engagement with peace learning and peace education appears to be essential in a pluralistic-democratic society. Fundamentalism - Fanaticism/ Part 1 and Peace Learning - Peace Education/ Part 2 in their manifestations are to be discussed in the study under sociocultural aspects. PART 3 deals with the subject in the context of political education. It is important to the author, based on his educational and professional biography, to see the subject as a contribution to general and denominational adult education and political education.
