Can their unexpected romance survive when they're both lying?
Dr. Cara Myer, an African-American geneticist, enters a housing community of mutants as part of a research group. Based on her expertise, the government asked her to collect samples from volunteers to find out more about how mutants are related to humans. What they don't realize is that a private entity also wants to know if the mutant genes can be used for their own purposes.
While doing her job, Cara feels drawn to Michael Duran, one of the mutants in the community. Their romance gets hot and heavy pretty fast. If only he weren't lying to her about who he really is. When she finds out his secret, she has a decision to make. She can embrace the trouble that's brewing or walk away with her heart in shambles. How will this experiment in love turn out?
