An absolute must for small-group bible study and fellowship

20+ printings pretty much validates the importance of this workbook. As essential in 2008 as it was when first published. If you Christian leaders out there are not using this as a basic teaching tool, you have missed the boat and have done a disservice to your life groups. The first 11 Units are pretty much intact; the 12th Unit is a rewrite with more focus on spouse and family. But get your hands on the original Unit 12 and include that material as well. It's that important. Suggestion: take your time with this workbook. We took over a year to complete it, meeting weekly. Warning: the sweetness of Henry Blackaby's writing will make you weep.

Blackaby & King (the authors)..I am thrilled to have this workbook in Spanish. How awe influential this book has been...Yes, the past 9 years have truly changed my life due to the daily pursuit through this Biblically, scriptural book. Point #6 says, "You must make major adustments in your life to join God in what He is doing." Each day I devoted 1 1/2 to 2 hours in study with my Bible open. God is in this book! It is a must to understand God, His pursuit, His invitation, His words, the "Crisis", adustment, His kingdom, and continuing fellowship with the King. I have surrendered my life, my family, ministry, friends, time, energy, etc. leaning towards the things of Jesus. My life has changed..and if you know me...I have always recommended this workbook. An exciting study of God's Will!

My church is conducting a bible study with this manual. It is very well written and easily understood. I grew up in the church and Christian school, and was a Christian all my life. This study, however, brings a fresh and exciting prospective to our group and myself, individually. The first couple of chapters really made me re-adjust my way of viewing and seeking God's will for my life. The subjects are broken down so well, and contain a guide for seeking God's will that you may not be able to hear in church (at least in such detail). I love it, and highly recommend it to any Bible study group. It is a life changing experience.

Makes my Hall of Fame for Christian Books

I've participated in a small group study of Experiencing God once, and I taught it twice after that. I think this is one of those rare workbooks that in a simple way, captures the deeper truths of God and the Christian life. It is profoundly simple. I've read a lot of Christian books in my time, and there really isn't one like this. It's in a category of its own. You should definitely do it in the context of a small group. Beware though, it is demanding for the average reader. There are daily exercises that can take 20-30 minutes to do. These exercises are chalk full of great wisdom and insight, but for some it is a lot to do. I've read probably a hundred Christian books/workbooks, etc., and this one is definitely in my top 10, if not my top 5. I highly recommend it. If you're a teen, I'd use the teen version. It's great for everybody.
