This psychological thriller follows a family to their Appalachian farmhouse, where they encounter an unimaginable horror. In the summer of 1994, psychologist Daniel Hill buys a rustic farmhouse... This description may be from another edition of this product.
This story started with an excellent prologue and was a fun read all the way to the end. The sense of dread was thick and oozed its way out of the pages. The descriptions of the setting, atmosphere, and characters were extremely detailed, giving me full visualizations (what I’d imagine would happen if a demon took over a human). Nick certainly delivers creepy vibes within his stories, and I can’t wait for the sequel. I’m hoping Buck makes another appearance - what a good boy he is! Bonus for me: the 90s timeline was such a nice throwback for me.
Terror on a new level!

The Exorcist’s House by Nick Roberts is a tour de force of horror. It grabs you by the throat and holds you hostage through all 273 pages.
The Hill family purchased a beautiful farm in West Virginia, a change of pace from their current life. Renovations complete, they make the several hour journey in a small caravan, never expecting what they’d be sharing their new home with. Life goes from idyllic to a nightmare from hell, testing their bonds and faith in everything.
The onslaught grabs you from a few pages in and doesn’t let go. Like a tornado from hell, you’re carried from one terrifying scene to another. One torment to the next. I was incredibly sad when this book was over and I wanted more. I was mentally begging for just another hundred pages, more story. I sincerely hope there’s a sequel to this, and if so, I’ll be first in line for the preorder. Don’t have this yet? GO BUY IT. Can’t buy it? It’s on Kindle Unlimited(as of the time of this review). All I’m saying is, find a way to read it, because this is not one to miss.
Five stars, solidly
