Evolutionary Basis of Environmental Consciousness

Panpsychism says that the universe as such is conscious and consciousness is an intrinsic nature of all subatomic particles living and non-living things. The living force or consciousness connects everything in existence and affects all of us and some of us can manipulate the force and other individuals as well as objects. The force is aware of changes in the cosmos and strives to balance as if it was alive and thinking. Everything in the universe is conscious. Substrate of everything is of mental character. Mind is the first and most direct thing in our experience and all else is remote experience. Consciousness cannot arise out of unconsciousness. The earth, the stars, the galaxies, the forests, the mountains and rivers are conscious according to panpsychism. The animals like the cow and snakes are also conscious. This forms the basis of sacred groves, forests, rivers, cows and nagas in Hindu religion. They have their roots in protoconsciousness field and panpsychism. They signify the earth mother, the mother cow and the reptilian brain.
