EVOLUTION The Journey Home In the beginning, Man was at peace with himself and the world. He dwelt in the Garden, in harmony with his Maker and the whole of the universe. His task was to tend the Garden, and he was armed with mighty gifts to accomplish that work. He walked the Garden as a giant, not comprehending his own power and intellect. But of all he was given, it was not enough. The one thing denied him in all creation was the thing he wanted most. Though he was given the strength to resist temptation, he had not the will. After countless ages in the Garden, he chose to take that which he could not have, and his fall was great. Ever since, he has battled himself through the ages, existing in toil and grief. Then, his Maker saw that Man could never regain the Garden by his own hand. It was time to move on to the next step in His grand design. The gift was re-given to one, and he led the chosen, himself being taught along the way. For hundreds of years they wandered about the face of the earth, learning and growing. The Old One saw the path lighted just before his steps, and at the last moment, when the Garden itself would be no more, he rose up to save that which others would destroy.
